I know, I know, I’m always talking to you about growing up in the country.
But hey, some of my best pattern ideas come from my love of open spaces.
Here’s another, Snowfence, available free from Knitty.com.
Snowfence is a parallelogram worked with twisted stitch cables and graduated increases and decreases. Stretched out, the pattern reminds me of half-buried snowfences receding into the distance. It takes some attention, but shouldn’t be too hard.
The cowl is worked with Madeline Tosh Vintage in color Blue Gingham, 1 skein.
Here’s the scarf!
This is worked with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport, color Buckingham Fountain, 2 skeins.
Basically, this is an unusually textured scarf, suitable for any weight of yarn, can be made to any length, and would work well for women, men, or kids!
