Emerging from Hibernation…
(drum roll, please)
Introducing The Italian Job.
An asymmetrical Garter stitch shawl with mosaic stitch designs.
The yarn is Periwinkle Sheep Watercolors and Watercolors II, colors are: Audrey Hepburn and Sandstorm.
Next, Nasturtium Mittens and Headband
This one has been in process for a long time, but finally the right colors made it come alive. Yarn: Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift in Gentian and Cornfield
What fun these were to make! Yarn: Rosy Green Cheeky Merino Joy in Air and Deep Ocean (how more karmically perfect could it be?)
Four by Four Mittens and Fingerless Mitts
I am proud of this one. As a teacher, I have wanted to have a multi-size, multi-size yarn pattern to offer people for classes, and now I do. Sizes range from older child to large adult and use fingering, sport, DK or worsted weight yarns. Yarns used are: Scheepjes Catona, Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy and Big Merino Hug, Orkney Angora (!) St. Magnus DK, and Eden Cottage Oakworth.
Give it the Slip
This was a project I originally made for myself, but received many requests for the pattern. This is another easy mosaic slip stitch pattern, and the sizing can be adapted to personal taste. Yarns are Woolfolk Tynd, Holst Supersoft and Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift
Finally, another baby in waiting: Macrame
This design started as a rejected pattern 🙁 I knew I could make it better and I hope I have been successful. Yarn is Hedgehog Sock in Teacup. The cable patterns run down the front and back and a little smocking in the middle of the cables makes the whole design look like a 70s macrame wall hanging 😉
All patterns are available in my Ravelry store, Nancy Vandivert Designs.
Enjoy the lovely cool weather while it lasts.
